Is ForwardFlow Health available in my state?
We’re licensed to see patients in Arizona, Colorado, Washington D.C., Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Maryland, Maine, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, and Wyoming. See our States We Serve page for details specific to where you live.
Will I be seeing a doctor or a nurse practitioner?
Your care is led by Jennifer Harris, NP — a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with 15+ years of clinical experience. NPs are licensed to independently evaluate, diagnose, treat, and prescribe.
Do you accept insurance?
ForwardFlow Health is an out-of-network provider. At the end of your visit, you can request a superbill you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement — but we don’t file prior authorizations or appeals on your behalf. See our Pricing page and Patient Resource Directory for how to check your own coverage first.
What's your cancellation policy?
Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, including no-shows, are subject to a $50 fee.
How do I access my patient portal?
Your patient portal is powered by Spruce. New patients receive an invitation link to set up their account — you can also join directly at spruce.care/forwardflowhealth. From your portal, you can message your provider, send documents, pay invoices, and access your care plans anytime, from your phone or computer.
What do I need to join a virtual visit?
After you book, you’ll get a secure visit link by email and text, plus a text reminder 15 minutes before your appointment — simply click the link at your appointment time to join.
Is my information secure?
Yes. All visits and messaging happen through HIPAA-compliant, secure telehealth technology, and your health information is never shared without your consent.
Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for care?
Yes. You can submit the superbill from your visit for reimbursement through your HSA or FSA, the same way you would for out-of-network insurance benefits.
How do I get my prescriptions filled?
You can use your preferred local pharmacy, or fill compounded medications through our pharmacy fulfillment partner, Scripts.co — a LegitScript-certified network with both 503A and 503B pharmacy access, offering concierge fulfillment with 2-day and overnight shipping.
What's the difference between functional medicine and traditional care?
Traditional care is often built around isolated symptoms, standard lab ranges, and short visits that lead quickly to a prescription. Functional medicine looks at how your hormones, metabolism, and lifestyle work together, using more comprehensive lab testing and longer visits to understand what’s actually driving your symptoms — not just treat them. At ForwardFlow Health, that means an individualized care plan built around your own labs and goals, with an ongoing relationship with your provider rather than a one-time appointment.
Can I cancel or pause my membership?
Yes, anytime. There are no refunds for services already paid for and not yet used.
What happened to your à la carte packages and lab pricing?
We’ve moved to a single Comprehensive Care Membership that covers all of our clinical services under one price, rather than separate packages. Labs and prescriptions are billed separately — see our Pricing page for full details.
